Welcome final new member, Ashley!
Hello! My name is Ashley Jaros and I am a sophomore fashion merchandising major here at Kent State.
My take on fashion is that what you wear is a physical manifestation of your personality, mood, and creativity. With that being said, I can’t put a label on my own style since it is constantly evolving and progressing. My favorite thing about fashion is that it is your own personal form of tangible art; and everyone has their own way of expressing themselves through their outfit.
When it comes to coordinating my ensembles, I like to stay on trend but still maintain my own character through what I’m wearing. For inspiration, I look to the fashion blogger community or my own style icons, a few of them being Hanne Gaby, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Anja Rubik. At the moment, my favorite designers are Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang.
The most important (and one of the few) fashion rules I follow is to take risks and not be afraid to stand out. Not having confidence in what you’re wearing can make or break even the most impeccably styled outfits — so own it!
I hope you’ve gotten a tiny glimpse of my perspective on fashion, and I’m excited to work with the Fashion Blitz team to share more of my passion with you.
