Although Punxsutawney Phil says we will have six more weeks of winter, it is never too early to prepare for spring.
My favorite trend that graced the runway this season is the delicate pastels and pure whites.
Ralph Lauren mastered both of these color palettes with great ease.
Multiple pastel colors were combined in one look through the use of different textures of fabric. Flowy, lightweight scarves and skirts with a silk top add unexpected depth to his spring collection.
For the whites, structure took over. By focusing in on the woman’s body and her hourglass shape, a full body of pure white gives an innocent, sophisticated look. This bold look is a foolproof way to let the world know you are ready for spring.
Bringing this look from the runway to the sidewalk is extremely simple. Stay on the lookout for very light pastel colors such as pink, mint green, and lavender. And it won’t be too tough to find all white, either. Full white suits and dresses are in many work-appropriate stores such as The Limited, Talbots, and Ann Taylor.
