Pann’s Pretties

I’m so very excited to write one of my first KSU Fashion Blitz posts about the local jewelry boutique: Pann’s Pretties.

After spending three years studying at Toledo University, Jordan Briceno, the owner of Pann’s Pretties, recently moved to Stow, Ohio. Briceno discovered her talent for jewelry design in her spare time. It has become her passion and most beloved hobby. She named her company after her Yorkshire terrier, Pann.

Briceno’s business is run primarily through her boutique’s Facebook page, just recently achieving over 700 likes. She counts on networking and word-of-mouth as her tools for a successful business.

Briceno designs and handcrafts all of the products found on the Pann’s Pretties Facebook page. She specializes in chain maille jewelry.  Briceno said chain maille was originally created as armor more than 2000 years ago. Shakespeare’s actors were the first to wear it as jewelry in his plays.

Briceno’s products include, but are not limited to chain maille jewelry bracelets, necklaces, earrings, customs and dice bags. All jewelry can be viewed and ordered directly from the Pann’s Pretties online boutique here.

When Briceno posted a picture of this unique silver bracelet, I couldn’t resist placing an order. The bracelet is constructed from nuts and jump rings, with a standard lobster clasp. Because nuts are such an unconventional material in jewelry, the bracelet conveys a rugged, avant-garde look while still maintaining a polished and classy aesthetic due to the silver sheen of the metal. What an awesome bracelet for only 20 bucks!

If you’re like me, there’s no better feeling than wearing something unique and innovative. It also feels great to know that I am supporting a local business every time I wear my bracelet.
