Were you ever that younger sister who was forced to wear jeans that were just a bit to short for you or a top that did not fit you right because it was passed down from your older sibling? The oldest of two brothers, I never experienced such a love-hate relationship. However, recently I inherited a closet full of hand-me-downs from my aunt’s sister who is as much of a shopaholic as I am, except not on a student’s budget. Instead of ripped up jeans and scuffed up Converses, I received three garbage bags full of items from Ann Taylor and J. Crew. From Ralph Lauren dresses to coats that I cannot wait to wear this fall and winter, I hit the jack-pot. I advise you to befriend an older acquaintance so once they lose the metabolism they had as a 20 year old, they will think of you when they clean out their closet!
