In the fashion world, summer ends with a bang – New York Fashion Week. Spring 2013 has a lot in store for us. What can we expect to be seeing once the cold weather passes through? A lot of skin. Cutouts and crop tops were very popular on the runway this past week. Bare midriffs and backs were all of the rage.

Stripes were also evident in collections by designers such as Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta. Leather was also prevalent, not only in black but bright colors as well. As for beauty, braids, deep side parts, crimped hair, nude nails, bold brows and bright eyeshadows are going to be big for the summer months. Unfortunately, for now we will have to adorn ourselves in puffy winter coats and fuzzy boots to get us through the frigid fall and winter months.
