Boy Basics

Written by admin. Posted in Accessories, Retailers

Since the girls outnumber the boys here at Kent State University, the boys have to make sure they look their best since you will be looked at. Now, I understand if you are a baseball player or football player and you enjoy wearing your sweat suit getup…everywhere. Maybe it’s time to buy a few shirts to add to the collection and spice up your wardrobe. Only because you’re going to class or roaming campus casually does not mean you have to rep your sport constantly.

I am a huge fan of skateboarding brands that make quality clothing. Karmaloop and CCS have a wonderful collection of brands that have shirts ranging from $20-$50 that will make 60 percent of Kent State’s population swoon. Check out this Rebel 8 shirt for $28 (Rebel8.com). Boys, just remember that you can’t go wrong with a black tee.

Sweatshirts are comfortable and always a must have for the fall weather. Skateboarding companies make comfortable and stylish designs that are a step up from your regular high school sweatshirt. This Toy Machine sweatshirt is more interesting than a logo of your old lacrosse team. It’s great that you went to Strongsville two years ago, but it’s time you leave it behind, like the day you graduated.

With the wonderful wind around campus protect your locks with a classic snapback. New Era has a ton of caps to choose from. You can rep your favorite sports team or a skateboarding company, like this WESC snapback for $30 (WESC.com). One of my pet peeves is snapbacks that have quotes like ‘boss’ or ‘stunna’. Leave your ego at the door, and don’t advertise it on your clothing. Boys, follow these tips and you won’t be disappointed.
