For my look this week, I chose a balance of ultra-glam and girly pieces paired with leather leggings and boots for a bit of edge. The sheer fabric of the top, sequin trim on the blazer, leather pants and suede ankle booties make for a mix of textures to keep this look interesting. Flowy, high-low cut tops are still a prominent trend for fall and look best coordinated with a more fitted bottom, such as these leggings. This look can easily be transformed into a look for a night out by switching out the casual wedge booties for a sleek platform pump or knee-high boot. What I love most about October is how perfect the weather is to experiment with different looks and aesthetics. My key item for this week is the maxi skirt. It is perfect for the fall months, especially since you can wear it with virtually anything: T-shirt,
leather jacket, flowy top. The options are endless. I paired the maxi with a beige and black chiffon top and a black chunky necklace to add a little sparkle. The hat complements the urban chic vibe along with the black lace-up booties. Finish the look with a bold lip color such as a deep red or plum, and you’re ready to go.

The cape made multiple appearances during fall fashion week, spotted on the runways of Moschino, Salvatore Ferragamo and Phillip Lim — just to name a few. Wearing a cape is the 
perfect way to remain warm and make a fashion statement even on the coolest of days. My favorite thing about this cape are the faux-leather pockets, a discreet detail but once noticed, really changes the whole look. Because capes create a top-heavy silhouette, avoid pants with a loose fit. These leather leggings are perfect for keeping the look streamlined. Instead of throwing on a basic shirt underneath, spice up your look with a tunic like this one that has a unique cut and shape. Don’t forget to add a necklace to keep it chic and strengthen the attitude of the whole look.
