A Target Excursion

Recently, I treated myself to a mini shopping spree at Target. I left the store with a cute 70s inspired frolic, two pairs of wedged booties and a nail polish by Essie called “Spinning Again.” The nail lacquer is perfect for the fall season! Both wedged booties are Mossimo, while the lacy dress is Xhiliration.

I really have to give kudos to the Target Corporation. They have fashionable, decent quality items at great prices. The company cleverly collaborates with designers such as Jason Wu, Missoni and Zac Posen. The Missoni collaboration was so popular that Target’s website shut down! Recently, the company launched “The Shops at Target,” which gives smaller merchants the chance to reach out to customers nationwide. One of the shops is inspired by clothing designer Kirna Zabete. Her items are tailored for the style-savvy working woman, while the shop called Odin adheres to stylish men. Patch NYC is based on vintage looking décor for homes and The Curiosity Shop consists of a slew of various trinkets. These pop-up shops bring some authenticity to the big super power. Target has also teamed up with Neiman Marcus for the upcoming holiday season. CFDA designers collaborated to create 50 different gifts that will be available in both stores. While Target may not be considered high end, its collaborations with big designers and higher-end retailers make it stand out from other supercenters such as Wal-Mart and K-Mart.
