Halloween brings about countless opportunities to utilize those items in your makeup bag that hardly ever see the light of day. It is the time to dig out the glitter, the too-thick eyeliner, the brightly colored eyeshadows and lipstick, and the over-the-top fake lashes. There are so many chances to let your creativity out and explore the dramatic aspect of beauty!

One of the easier ways to incorporate glitter is through nail art. You can create numerous Halloween inspired patterns to add a bit of holiday flair to your manicure. Adding a glitter spider-web pattern is subtle enough to sport the entire week of Halloween.

To create spider web nails you’ll need:

-basecoat in black or other dark color
-glitter polish
-fine loose glitter
-clear topcoat
-toothpick or T-pin

Step 1: Apply basecoat and let it dry fully.

Step 2: Using the toothpick/T-pin carefully apply the glitter polish in diagonal lines starting from a corner of the nail. Before polish dries, use toothpick/T-pin to fill in the lines with loose glitter.

Step 3: Once dry, repeat process to connect diagonals with short lines to create web pattern.
