Even though it was incredibly nice and warm out last week, it looks like it’s time for the cold weather to stay. With Harper’s Bazaar as my source, here are a few of the top fall/winter trends!
Anyone who has seen the recent magazines covers for September will know that pink is a big color for fall. Check out Gwen Stefani (in Jil Sander) on Harper’s Bazaar, Lady Gaga (in Marc Jacobs) on Vogue and Katy Perry (in Bottega Veneta) on Elle. More colors that were seen are white, black, blue, red, gold, greens, brown, etc.
An abundance of all things leather was seen in many colors (red, black, blue, white) and items (shoes, scarves, pants, dresses, jackets, etc.).
Look out for deep shades of red this fall. It will be seen anywhere from lipstick on the lips, down to shoes on the feet.
Beautiful crystals, stones and jewels were intricately embellished and embroidered onto rich fabrics like velvet. Basically “less is more” does not apply here!
You can’t go wrong with a classic look, so take cue from the men and grab those classic pieces (blazer, blouse, pant suit) to add a traditional touch to your wardrobe. Have fun with these pieces by mixing and matching with other items from you closet, if you would like a more modern look. Also, play around with proportions.
The trends are not limited only to the ones listed above, so tell us what your favorite fall trends are, and what you will be wearing!
