Learning Layers
As I stand in front of my closet, I notice I have my summer clothing on my left side hanging and my winter clothing on the right side. Despite the fact that it is separated, it is easy to create outfits utilizing both season apparel.
Take the outfit pictured, which I put together from items in my closet. It’s a comfortable, thin hoodless sweatshirt that can be worn on top of this light blue blouse. The two colors blend well together and can be spiced up with a necklace to offset the plainness of the sweatshirt.
Jeans would go best with this outfit and topped with a comfortable pair of short, brown boots. If the wind is making its way through Kent, add a scarf of your choice.
Layering is something I have noticed as the colder months draw near and this style that can create many outfits just by combining sweaters and T-shirts or sweatshirts and blouses.
I recommend opening your closet doors and begin to mix and match different pieces of clothing and see what you come up with.
